Art & Copy - film about adverising

Art & Copy

I've heard alot of hype for this movie for a while now. Finally saw the trailer, it looks better than what I heard. If you are interested in adverting and creative ideas in general this is a must see! The films website, artandcopyfilm.com.

Here is a synopsis of the film: ART & COPY is a powerful new film about advertising and inspiration. Directed by Doug Pray (SURFWISE, SCRATCH, HYPE!), it reveals the work and wisdom of some of the most influential advertising creatives of our time -- people who've profoundly impacted our culture, yet are virtually unknown outside their industry. Exploding forth from advertising's "creative revolution" of the 1960s, these artists and writers all brought a surprisingly rebellious spirit to their work in a business more often associated with mediocrity or manipulation: George Lois, Mary Wells, Dan Wieden, Lee Clow, Hal Riney and others featured in ART & COPY were responsible for "Just Do It," "I Love NY," "Where's the Beef?," "Got Milk," "Think Different," and brilliant campaigns for everything from cars to presidents. They managed to grab the attention of millions and truly move them. Visually interwoven with their stories, TV satellites are launched, billboards are erected, and the social and cultural impact of their ads are brought to light in this dynamic exploration of art, commerce, and human emotion.

How do you Relax and "Turn Off" Work?

My Head-illustration

Lately, I've been noticing that it has become easier and easier for me to stop thinking about work on the weekends. I've always had a problem of "turning off" - not thinking about or discussing work when I'm at home. My weekends seemed to always center around brainstorming ideas for the following work week. For the last couple of weeks though, my brain has been automatically turning off on Friday nights. Not sure how I'm doing this, I'm guessing it has something to do with it being summertime or maybe its just keeping myself busy with other things. This is great because I'm not as stressed out over the weekends and come back to work some what refreshed. (Trying to analyze my "turning off" like this makes me a bit nervous - that somehow I won't be able to turn it off, again.)

I know worrying about work is a common problem and I wonder how other people "turn off"? Do you have a technique or ritual you do to "turn off"? I would love to hear it.
